How do I get started?
You can get started by going to our Getting Started page. From there you will be prompted to choose a website package and design. Once you have chosen a design you will be prompted to pay for your website. Once you have paid you will be prompted to submit your materials. How long will it take you to create my website?
For our Starter and Professional Website Package your site will be online and working within 1 business week, once we have received your materials and payment. Custom-designed sites may take longer, depending upon their complexity.

ADD-ONS

Can I add on to my gallery or video page?
Yes. We can add 6 more images to your gallery page for $30. Or an extra audio or video clip to your video reel page for $30 For more please see our Add-on section here.

How many photos can I put on my site?
You can add more photos to your site by going to our Add-on page. You can add as many as you want in intervals of 6 at a time.

We can replace any photo on any page for $10.

How can I make changes to my site?
After your site is finished, we'll be happy to update your site whenever you like. Visit our Maintain Your Site page.

What are website updates?
Regular updates are the best way to keep your site current and interesting by revising outdated info and adding new features. Updates include content changes such as a news item, a line in your resume, a new headshot or photo, an additional video clip, new contact info, a link or a line in your bio.

Text updates are $5, additional/replacement photos are $10 each, replacement of video clips are $30 each.

SERVICES

What is the Industry Exposure Package?
If you buy the Industry Exposure Package, we will send your finished site (via email) to over 500 industry professionals (agents, managers and production companies). We will also email your site to over 150 casting directors. Emails will be sent from your new email address (i.e. yourname@yourdomain.com) and will simply state in the subject of the email, Actor, YOUR NAME. In the email it will state the following: This email is to inform you that actor, YOUR NAME has put up a website http://www.yournanme.com. Please visit for a look at the latest headshots, resume and acting reel. The email can not contain any attachments, just a weblink to your site. The email will be sent to a variety of industry professionals including but not limited to agents, managers and production companies. It will also be sent to over 150 Los Angeles casting directors. Because of the high volume of emails received by industry professionals, we do not guarantee any response from anyone who receives your email. Also, because of high demand and privacy of these email addresses, we can not provide you with a list of the names and email addresses of whom we sent your site to. If anyone responds to you directly you may contact them back freely. Industry professionals who receive your email may not respond but this does not mean they didn't receive and possibly bookmark or print out your information. We cannot guarantee that any specific company or person working in the industry will receive the email.

DOMAIN NAME

Can you register a domain name for me?
Your Domain name comes free for the first year when you buy one of our packages. After that, you can renew your domain name for $9.95 a year.

What if I already registered my domain name?
That's okay. We will transfer your domain name to our server.

What is a domain name?
Your domain name is your unique address on the internet. Most domain names end with .com, but other extensions such as .net and .org are also available.

How do I know if my domain name is available?
To check the availability of a domain name, Click Here, enter the domain name you want to check, and click GO. The next window will tell you if your name is available or not. If you prefer, contact us and we'll be happy to check for you.

What if the domain name I want is already taken?
If the domain name you want is already taken, try using a .net extension instead of a .com. You can also try things like adding a dash between your first and last name, or adding your middle initial.

WEBSITE HOSTING

Do you provide web hosting?
Yes. We provide web hosting FREE for the first year. After that you will have to pay a $59.95 yearly fee to keep the site running.

I am currently hosted at another company. Can I switch to Actorswebsitedesign?
We can design your page and upload it to your server. Or, you can end your hosting service and join with us.

Can I use a different web host?
Yes, but we prefer that you use us to host your website.

Does my website come with email?
Yes, 2 email accounts are included with your web hosting. Your email account features webmail, which means you can conveniently send and receive email from any computer in the world with a connection to the internet. You can also forward email from your website email account to another email address and/or set up Microsoft Outlook or another desktop email client to receive your emails.

You will be able to access your email from any computer in the world with a connection to the internet.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

How will people find my site?
Once your site has been finished and uploaded to our servers, it will be accessible to anyone who enters your domain name (YourName.com) in the address bar of their web browser. Why can't I find my web site in the search engines?
Once your site has been finished and uploaded to our server, it can take months for "non-submitted" websites to appear in the search engines. We can speed up this process by optimizing your website and submitting it to the major search engines and directories. Please Contact Us for more info.
